Since 1957, BSA Troop 16 has helped develop the character of young men in their pursuit of Eagle Scout by providing a great Scouting experience.
If outdoor activities are what you are after, come join us........ camping, canoeing, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, fishing, rifle and shotgun shooting, summer camp, swimming, caving, rafting, community service and so on.... there is always something exciting going on.
How Do I Join? To become a Scout you must be a boy who has completed the 5th grade, or has earned the Arrow of Light Award, or be 11 years old, but not yet 18. If you're interested in joining or have questions, please contact us.
Where? Troop 16 meets at Gainesville First United Methodist Church (2780 Thompson Bridge Rd, Gainesville)
When? We meet weekly on Monday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30ish all year.
If you think that you'd like to join Troop 16, please come to a few meetings first to see if you like it or not. If you decide that you do like what you see, then you should talk to the Scoutmaster about joining.
"A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove. But the world may be different, because I was important in the life of a boy." -- Forest Whitcraft
